WJR7080 UHF RFID Reader Module
WJ Communications announced the availability of the WJR7080, a compact PCMCIA Type II PC card form factor Gen2 UHF RFID reader module for Europe, optimized for handheld and mobile RFID reader applications. The WJR7080 is fully compliant to the European regulation ETSI 300 220 (869.525 MHz) and supports multi-protocol (ISO18000-6C and ISO18000-6B). Leveraging the capabilities of the proven WJR reader module family, the WJR7080 offers dynamic RF output power settings, two antenna ports, and WJ’s Application Protocol Interface (API) for all WJ reader module platforms. Current users of WJR RFID reader modules can plug-and-play the WJR7080 device without modifying their existing configurations; thereby, allowing their entry into the European market rapidly and in a cost-effective manner.
Advanced Media Design, developer of the award-winning AV-over-IP collaboration technology MediaPOINTE, today announced significant enhancements to its Digital Media Recorder (DMR) product line with the release of the DMR210e. The improved DMR210e records and archives presentations, training sessions, meetings and videoconferences utilizing hundreds of hours of on-board storage in high definition, WXGA resolution in MPEG-4 format. Furthermore, it simultaneously streams audio and video content while recording for live sharing as well as on-demand access of full motion video and stereo audio content. 
As the first organization worldwide, the Berliner Sparkasse will introduce the next generation signature tablet named SignPad in their primary process on a large scale. The SignPad tablet allows customers of the Berliner Sparkasse to sign their banking documents and transactions both digitally and securely. The device was especially developed for the digitizing of handwritten signatures in close co-operation with Wacom and Softpro. Beginning in December 2007, all 150 private client centers in the branches of the Sparkasse will be equipped with this new interface device. “Paperless signing” will become a reality when customers sign on the display of the SignPad using Softpro’s leading signature software solution, called SignDoc. The Berliner Sparkasse expects will save on the cost of paper handling and archiving, as well as enjoying the enhanced functionality of the SignPad.
