MediaPOINTE - New DMR210e Digital Media Recorder
Advanced Media Design, developer of the award-winning AV-over-IP collaboration technology MediaPOINTE, today announced significant enhancements to its Digital Media Recorder (DMR) product line with the release of the DMR210e. The improved DMR210e records and archives presentations, training sessions, meetings and videoconferences utilizing hundreds of hours of on-board storage in high definition, WXGA resolution in MPEG-4 format. Furthermore, it simultaneously streams audio and video content while recording for live sharing as well as on-demand access of full motion video and stereo audio content. Boasting a new DVD drive and prominent power switch, MediaPOINTE’s DMR210e has an updated GUI (graphic user interface) for effortless user control and an enhanced Control Line Interface for easier coding and system integration. The DMR210e also automatically creates files compatible with an Apple iPod or iPhone, so users can download a presentation through iTunes and watch and listen to it at their leisure.
“We’re streamlining and enhancing our overall product line, starting with the DMR210e,” said Kim Dillard, director of marketing, AMD/MediaPOINTE. “Improved hardware, software and user-friendly features make our newest DMR more functional and easier to use for both end-users and system integrators.”
MediaPOINTE’s DMR210e features a new audible notification tone that confirms user interaction, system procedures and programming. It provides an improved file structure including file hierarchies and password protection for straightforward archiving and retrieval. Multiple titles and credits can be uploaded to the DMR210e for quick, professional-quality video production without the need for post production or editing.
Along with the iPod format, videos recorded with the DMR210e can also be transferred onto an intranet, the internet or with MediaPOINTE’s proprietary CopyMe! technology, downloaded onto a CD-ROM, DVD-ROM or USB flash drive, so users can record a session and take it with them. With this capability, large educational, healthcare and corporate customers can easily and quickly distribute copies of their content at the end of sessions.
